Liam Payne's cousin says star will probably marry Cheryl Fernandez-Versini "in a few weeks"

The One Direction singer's relative branded the couple's age gap "quite funny" but said their relationship is the real deal !

Liam Payne's cousin has waded in on his famous relative's romance with Cheryl - calling their 10-year age gap "funny". But Ross Harris reckons Liam's relationship with Cheryl, 32, is the real deal and they could even get hitched "in a few weeks." 

Talking to New magazine Ross - a former contestant on talent show The Voice - said: "I don't think their relationship is for publicity just because they've been seen holding hands and going to restaurants - unless they're having fun with the media and fooling everyone, which would actually be quite funny.

"I suppose only time will tell. They'll probably be married in a few weeks, it's that kind of vibe." 

Cheryl and Liam, 22, went public with their romance last month and have since been spotted enjoying romantic dinner dates and shopping for Easter eggs. 

Liam and Cheryl flew out to LA two weeks ago, where he is supporting her as she works on her new music in the studio.

While he's thrilled for his cousin, Ross admitted his family think the couple's 10-year age gap is "weird".

He said: "It's quite funny that the other One Direction guys are dating really young models and he's gone for the mature relationship - but she still looks like a model.

"He's done well! She's obviously very famous and very nice looking." 

Cheryl - who met the One Direction star when he appeared on The X Factor in 2010 - recently split from her husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versin. She was previously married to Ashley Cole.
